A very nice set of molded plastic pieces of modular terrain. Once you get the hang of how they work, it's fairly easy to set up a scene. The biggest problem I had was making interior walls work with the extra dimensions the rounded walls give to the exterior. I found I needed a half-wall size that just doesn't exist. The box it comes in fits them all snugly with a tray to keep the wall pieces and a plastic box for (most of) the connectors. The trees are not included, and I can understand why, though I think there's an excessive amount of doors for the amount of doorway pieces. Those door hinges are a PAIN to snap into place due to their size, but do work nicely once installed.

I have several of the dirt cheap dungeons sets but most of them aren't great at multi story designs even if they come with the multi story plexiglass. What I found really shone in this set it the variety of the plexiglass floor pieces, most of them large enough to have an entire floor covered. With the smaller floor pieces from the other sets, you often need to use 2 pieces and that makes using the bottom floor kind of tricky, but with the large floor pieces in this set you can remove multiple floors at once safely and quickly.Like all their other sets, the box and packages are designed for easy storage and reuse.

This is a beautiful castle building set. I play D&D with a group and until now we've mostly just played in two dimensions - drawing maps out on laminated map sheets and occasionally adding 3D printed monsters for realism. This set has given us the opportunity to introduce a whole new level of table top gaming. The sheer quantity of pieces included mean that you can world build a massive number of terrain options - the only limit is your creativity.***OBSERVATIONS***-The pieces are very high quality. Other than the hateful little door hinges, everything here is really built to last.-There are so many options! From steps to ladders, doors of all colours (I especially love the texture of the yellowy coloured ones).-I love the 12 clear acrylic platforms that can be configured between floors allowing for vertical dimensional play. It's especially awesome that they are pre-marked with a 1" grid.-I haven't tried, but apparently you can paint the pieces (and remove the paint!). I actually quite like them as they are, but I may decide to change them up for future battles.-They're stronger than anything I have printed to date on my 3D printer (mostly monsters)-They're not really cheap, though it's called "Dirt Cheap Dungeons" - but the quality is certainly there-Note that the trees are sold separately. I missed this in the item description (but it is clearly stated). This set (and others from Dirt Cheap Dungeons) are fantastic. I would definitely recommend adding this immersive castle set to your terrain building stock.

Dirt Cheap Dungens are very nice.

For the amount of pieces, it's a fantastic deal. The pieces are modular and you can set them up in lots of different patterns. The pieces also work with other DCD sets. You can paint them if you like and the details are good too. The whole set fits in a box that's a little larger than a few books. It's also pretty light, only a few pounds. I recommend these terrain sets because they are durable, light, modular, free-standing, and best of all, they aren't expensive.

12 year old me's dream come true! I always wanted to have a table full of customizable D&D terrain, and now I do! Although Dirt Cheap isn't really accurate as i have over 1500 invested in their kits!
